Muse Lecture: The Kunpeng Trail and Hiking Trail - Exploring and Discovering the Romantic Geography of Shenzhen

Date
Tuesday Mar 12, 2024 17:00 - 18:30

Dear Colleagues and Students,

Amidst mountains and waters, life flourishes. Planting green brings forth vibrant spring scenes. In the youthful Shenzhen City, we listen to the footsteps of mountains and seas, witness the colorful blossoms of a warm spring, and gaze at the vast expanse of the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars. Shenzhen residents embrace a hiking trail, the Kunpeng Trail, offering an all-encompassing experience of mountains, seas, and urban charm. How much do we know about it? On Arbor Day, Mr. Nan Zhaoxu, member of the Shenzhen Urban Planning Committee, is invited to give a lecture and lead us on a journey, soaring nine thousand miles, hiking through Shenzhen, venturing into the Kunpeng Trail. Let us embark on a romantic exploration of Shenzhen's geography!

Time: 5:00pm - 6:30pm, March 12 (Tuesday)

Venue: Room 109, Zhixin Building

Speaker: Mr. Nan Zhaoxu

Language: Chinese

Mr. Nan Zhaoxu is a member of the Shenzhen Urban Planning Committee and has dedicated himself to the study of local history and nature in Shenzhen. Abstract:

In 2024, with the preliminary completion of the Kunpeng Trail and Hiking Trail in Shenzhen, it is akin to the "narrow path through the mountains, seemingly illuminated" described in "The Peach Blossom Spring," leading us into a hidden paradise of natural habitats, diverse and enchanting geographical formations, and a "Peach Blossom Spring" that nurtures our mind and body. The Kunpeng Trail and Hiking Trail once again affirm that Shenzhen is a city where one can pursue knowledge, make a living, make a home, and freely explore. With a total length of 420 kilometers, these trails provide us with a new opportunity to establish a romantic connection with this city.
