The annual rendezvous of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau University Student Drama Festival is upon us once more!
Hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and organised by the University Arts Centre of CUHK-Shenzhen, the 2024 Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau University Student Drama Festival will take place from March 29th to April 1st under the theme “Circle”. This year, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Macau, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Southern University of Science and Technology will grace the stage with their original masterpieces.

You will wander through the bustling theme market, in search of your desire freely; you can be enchanted by the diverse performances that resonate with the artistry on stage; you can also engage in four captivating workshops, from physical sensations to scriptwriting, creative puppets and drama games, designed to ignite your theatrical soul.
Event Schedule
Judged by esteemed drama specialists WANG Weibin, CHAN Kam Kuen, and ZHOU Ke, this festival will extend the realm of drama appreciation through expert critique and insights.
Introduction of Judges

CHAN Kam Kuen Anthony
CHAN Kam kuen has served as the Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre from 2008 to 2023. He is one of the few theatre professionals in Asia with qualifications in playwriting, directing, stage design, theatre education as well as stage management. He holds a master’s degree in Theatre from the University of Colorado in Denver in the United States with double majors in Fine Arts Design, as well. He has also served as the Head of Directing and Playwriting Departments at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for a length of 19 years. Currently, he is an assessor for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, a reviewer for the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies, and an invited representative for the National Congress of the China Theatre Association.
WANG Weibin
WANG Weibin is an Associate Professor and Graduate Supervisor at the College of Theatre, Film and Television, Division of Arts, Shenzhen University, and the Director of “Art Therapy Center” of the Division of Arts at Shenzhen University. He also holds positions, including Vice Chairman of Guangdong Province Iheairisi Association, part-time Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chairman of Shenzhen Dramatists Association, part-time Vice Chairman of Nanshan Federation of Literature and Art Circles, and Chairman of Nanshan District Dramatist Association.
ZHOU Ke
ZHOU Ke is an Associate Professor at the Directing Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy.
Representative works include: plays Prima Facie and The Pillow Man, and musicals The Picture of Dorian Gray and My Beloved. Her directorial works have won awards such as the National “Five-One Project” Quality Drama Award, Grand Jury Prize at the Daegu International Musical Festival in Korea, Best Director Award at the 3rd Chinese Theatre Awards, and Best Experimental Drama Directing Award at the 1st International Theatre Academy Award.
