It is wonderful to sing in the spring and use the voice to express passionate and lingering emotions. At the same time, some subtle vocal techniques are waiting for you to explore further.

In the 17th session of the Art Courses, University Arts Centre will collaborate with Dilifentia College to invite young soprano Xu Na, to offer a journey of vocal basic exploration to those who love singing.

Notes

To ensure the smooth progress of the course, we will collect a 100 yuan activity deposit from each participant. Deposit refund policy: If you attend every session without being late or leaving early, the full deposit will be refunded. If you are absent for one or more sessions, the activity deposit will not be refunded and will go to the University Art Development Fund account. In the case of absence due to force majeure (only once), the deposit will not be deducted.

 

Certificate of Completion

 

Due to the continuity of the course and the advanced content, students who have successfully registered for the course need to complete seven out of the eight sessions of the course, after which they will be presented with a Certificate of Completion.

Course Objectives

Cultivate and improve students' musical literacy, vocal skills, and artistic expression.

Master the proper vocal techniques and develop the ability to utilize different tones and vocal styles effectively for performance.

Xu Na

 

Xu Na, a young soprano based in Europe, holds dual doctorate degrees in music theory and vocal performance from the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music. She is a soprano opera actress of the Tchaikovsky Musical Opera House.

She has won the Platinum Prize at the International Music Festival Competition of the Kiev Culture Ministry and the First Prize in the "Oksana Cup" solo competition. Additionally, she has been awarded the Silver Prize at the 21st Century Vocal Music Competition. In 2020, she participated in the 3rd International Conference on "Practical Trends in Modern Music Research" in Munich, Germany, presenting her paper titled "Artistic Techniques of Singers". In 2023, she took part in the 13th International Scientific Conference of the Opera Singing Department at the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, presenting her paper on "Theoretical Basis of Singer's Stage Art in the Performance Process of Chinese Folk Songs".

Art Courses

University Arts Centre will offer non-credit bearing courses in a variety of art forms. Artists will be invited to design instructional plans and visiting lecturers and professors will be invited to give lectures. This will reinforce the aim of the University Arts Centre, which is to enrich the culture and art atmosphere of the University with artistic activities.
